My name is Jan Jagrik and at the moment I'm accomplishing my "combat missions" within my civil army-service at the Department of Machine Design - part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.

I live in a beautiful little town Horažďovice, which is situated in central Europe (65 km from Pilsen - next to Třebomyslice).

I was born in a winter long time ago and since I've been four years old boy I attended a number of educational and similar institutions such as kindergarten in Velký Bor, 2nd Elementary School in Horažďovice, Technic Secondary School in Strakonice and finally University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Moreover I've spent one of the therms of my third accademic year studying at the Manchester Metropolitan University and spending a great time in Arosa Hotel in Manchester. In the summer between my third and fourth accademic year, I've participated in student exchange programm between UWB and the Marquette Univesity in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA. So I've spent a couple of weeks in States and it was also great time there. Last summer I did my industrial placement in the Czech car-manufacturer ŠKODA-AUTO company in Mladá Boleslav. I wish to work there one time. Despite all I've successfully graduated my study branch Design of Vehicles and Transports before planned edn of the world in Y2K (year 2000). My final thesis Bus-body Design was presentated with success on I-DEAS User´s Meeting (SUSI 99) at Technical University Ostrava. Picture of the bus was moreover used by local I-DEAS dealer in its presentation on international computer and software fair Invex 99 in Brno, Czech Republic.
